Beginning with the reign of the II dynasty of ancient Egypt, the prayer was initially read only by priests and only after several centuries was it transferred to the people by decision of the pharaoh.

To save people from pestilence and hunger, from the troubles that fate brings, the prayer was read by the entire community gathered at a table filled with food.

In the evening, a special ritual was held in ancient Egyptian temples, part of which was a prayer-harbinger of knowledge. After reading the prayer, a black cat was released, whose behavior predicted the future of the entire settlement.
