The prayer, whose roots go back to ancient times, namely to the reign of the VII dynasty of Ancient Egypt, was not just a set of words, but a powerful ritual. Initially, it was intended for male priestly groups, who chanted it during ablutions, seeking to gain strength and spiritual power. It is noteworthy that animals often participated in these rituals, in particular cats, whose presence helped to create a kind of "magic circle" around the singing priests. All these actions were performed on certain days of the month in order to maximize the energetic impact of the prayer.

Over time, this prayer went beyond the temple walls, finding new life in everyday life. It became especially popular among mothers, who, imbued with its protective power, read it at the beds of their children, because of its ability to protect them from adversity.

Moreover, fragments of this sacred text were immortalized on the walls of some ancient Egyptian temples. This allowed priests to direct those in need to these walls, offering them prayerful help in getting rid of troubles. Such a ritual, in addition to reading a prayer, ended with the washing of the hands of the supplicant and the pronunciation of additional sacred texts by the priest.
