In response to this growing threat, the priests of the great Egyptian temples developed a unique prayer designed to protect people from misfortune. This sacred formula was not merely spoken; it became part of a carefully crafted ritual. The prayer was recited over anyone threatened by danger, but its true power was revealed after a special ceremony predicting the future. It was then, after this mystical divination, that the prayer transformed into a shield for those facing adversity.

An interesting aspect of these ancient practices was the use of black cats. Egyptians believed that by reciting a prayer near these animals, misfortune could be transferred to them. Then, according to their beliefs, the cat could carry the trouble into the boundless desert, where the wind would scatter it, forever freeing the person from the calamity. This rite, according to the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, was capable of averting even the most terrible threat, protecting a person from any evil.

• To stop attacks from people (most often verbal attacks and acts of aggression)
• To calm turbulent weather and find refuge from it (read during a hurricane, bad weather)
• To prevent cats or other feline animals from disappearing from the home
• Read the night before a wedding, positioning the couple in front of you and standing behind them (read seven times)
