HISTORY OF THE RITUAL OF THE DEER OF HAPPINESS
The original texts of the ritual belonged to Udmurt shamans, who had great social significance as bearers of sacred knowledge, people endowed with supernatural powers and the gift of prophecy.
The ritual was especially popular among women of the Far North and is based on one of the ancient prayers of Udmurt shamanism, called the deer spell.
According to shamans' beliefs, deer brought happiness to the house in the evening, but happiness awakened only in the morning with the sunrise.
