РИТУАЛ ДУХИ ОГНЯ

RITUAL OF THE SPIRITS OF FIRE

HISTORY OF THE RITUAL OF THE SPIRITS OF FIRE

The ritual was “borrowed” by the Spanish conquistador Francisco de Montejo from the Maya tribe during his visit to the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in 1519. The original text was written on one of the clay bowls, later copied into a book and delivered as part of the treasure and message about the conquest of Mexico to the King of Spain Charles V of Habsburg.

Already in the king's palace, they tried to rewrite the spell in the ritual in a Christian manner, but unsuccessfully, the ritual lost its ability to protect. As a result, in 1752, by order of King Ferdinand VI, the book with the corrected spell, which also included many other mystical texts, was burned. Only part of the text with the last prayer of the ritual survived.

An almost complete version of the original text, written on a fragment of an ancient clay bowl, is kept in a private collection in Guadalajara, Mexico.
