HISTORY OF THE ROMAN SILENCE RITUAL
The ritual was used in the Forum of Gaius Julius Caesar, an ancient Roman statesman and politician, commander and consul, during entertainment evenings using an oracle, the most common form of divination in antiquity, which consisted of a prediction made on behalf of a deity at the request of believers by a special priest, who was called an oracle.
The ritual text, written on a papyrus scroll, was brought to Rome from Egypt at one time. Papyrus scrolls with texts were kept in special vases at the entrance to the dwelling along with other documents and were used only by some of the priests at the request of Caesar.
