THE HISTORY OF THE SONG-PRAYER ABOUT THE COMING DREAM
The prayer dates back to the Old Kingdom, the Seventh Dynasty of Egypt. The text was brought from a neighboring kingdom as a gift to the pharaoh at the request of his personal priest to protect his house from harm.
Parts of the prayer were later copied onto the bottom of clay vessels and given as gifts on special holidays. When reading the song-prayer, people avoided wearing red clothes so as not to attract troubles to their home.
