HISTORY OF PRAYER STEPS OF DESTINY
The original text belongs to Suajenru Nebiriru I, a pharaoh of the 17th dynasty of Ancient Egypt, who ruled approximately 1601-1582 BC during the Second Intermediate Period.
The prayer was supposed to be read during a special ritual performed before visiting dangerous places or crowded gatherings.
For almost two centuries, a truncated text of the prayer was written on one of the interior walls of the Karnak Temple, until the wall with the prayer was destroyed by one of the next rulers of Egypt.
