HISTORY OF PRAYER THE ROAD OF DESTINY
The original text dates back to the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, the First Dynasty of the New Kingdom. After the pharaoh was killed during a rebellion, it was written as a reminder that one should not forget one's true path.
The prayer was inscribed on the wall of the tomb, but over time it was erased and replaced with another one glorifying the God-Spirit, patronizing the new pharaoh.
Some lines from the prayer were written on clay dishes (plates, jugs, bowls) to protect their home from unexpected troubles. The tradition was brought to Ancient Egypt from the Hittite Kingdom and took root for several generations to come.
