HISTORY OF PRAYER NIGHT
The original text dates back to the 7th Dynasty of ancient Egypt.
The prayer was considered one of the most sacred, read during the autumn-winter festival dedicated to the arrival of the rains.
There are many stories connected with prayer. One of the most interesting is that the words of the prayer were painted on the font (a pool for ablution) and an hour before midnight the prayer was read from the walls of the font, already filled with water and decoctions. It was believed that a person who took such a bath became able to call a spirit into his body, which could tell him the secrets of those around him. For this, an additional text of the spirit's call was used.
