THE HISTORY OF THE PRAYER OF THE MYSTERIES OF HEAVEN
The original text was discovered during excavations at the site of the Luxor Temple, located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city known today as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was built around 1400 BC.
The text belonged to the 17th Dynasty of Egypt, which ruled in Upper Egypt at the end of the Second Intermediate Period, from approximately 1580 to 1550 BC.
The prayer was recited with great honor when carried on large clay tablets before the people during festive processions. It was believed that whoever accidentally touched the tablet would be blessed for the entire next year and would have good luck.
