THE HISTORY OF PRAYER THE ACT OF GOD
A prayer dating back to the Second Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. It was recited in the morning in the temples before the pharaoh visited them and was the final prayer of the services.
It was also read by the priest at the bedside of the sick person for recovery as part of the ritual “On the return to life”, being one of the main prayers of the book of healing (special priestly papyri). It was placed on the walls of hospitals throughout the territory of Ancient Egypt. The sick were brought to the place by the wall on which the prayer was inscribed for the morning reading.
The text was placed in the tombs of pharaohs who died from a serious illness.
