THE STORY OF PRAYER FOREVER YOUR DREAM
The text of the prayer dates back to the time of the Babylonian Empire. The prayer existed in two languages: Akkadian and Sumerian* (a more complex and “new” version at that time).
The Akkadian version of the prayer was recited by Moses, the Jewish prophet and lawgiver, the founder of Judaism, before stopping at Mount Sinai where he received the Ten Commandments. The prayer was given to him by his adoptive mother at the age of 14 on a special day of the new moon to protect him from illness and enemies.
The prayer later became the basis for several other prayers in Judaism, Islam, Christianity (including the basis of the Christian prayer “Our Father”). It was actively spread among the followers of Jesus Christ for several decades before the emergence of the Christian religion.
Echoes of the texts are also found in some ritual texts of the Voodoo religion.
*The temple displays a Sumerian version of the prayer.
